Text Messaging While Driving
Massachusetts resident Aaron Deveau has the dubious distinction of being the first person to be convicted of motor vehicle homicide for texting while driving in the United States. Approximately one minute after sending a text message, Mr. Deveau's vehicle crossed the center line of the road and struck another vehicle, killing the driver and injuring a passenger.
